If I could have designed my dream job, it would have looked exactly as it does today.
Since I was a child, my parents have described me as someone who can go from crying to laughing hysterically in the blink of an eye. It’s this innate emotion I have always carried with me that I pour into my wedding films.
From the nervous excitement during the getting-ready process to the tender moments shared between the couple during the ceremony, I get to see it all. It's not just about capturing the big moments, but also the small ones that often go unnoticed. The way the couple holds hands, the way they look at each other, and the way they smile - these are the moments that capture the essence of their love.
I’m so lucky to work alongside a talented team whose values and creative vision align with my own. What we create is something that will be treasured for years to come. A wedding video is not just a documentation of a day, but a timeless reminder of the love and commitment shared between two people that only grows stronger with time.
Jon Simmons
For the past fifteen years, Jon has had the opportunity to pursue his passion for storytelling and explore the craft of filmmaking. He has worked on projects ranging from video journalism to experimental microscopy—from narrative films to wedding cinematography.
Through this exploration, Jon has discovered that he has always been guided by a singular focus: A deep and sincere interest in people and their experiences. There are so many moments from a wedding day that make it uniquely beautiful. Some moments are loud and meant for the entire room, while others are quiet expressions of love.
To find these moments and capture them for couples to experience for the rest of their lives is a privilege and a joy. And it’s something Jon is incredibly grateful to be a part of.
Saul Martinez
Saul has been filming weddings with McKenzie for over a decade. A Social Worker by trade, he uses the skills learned in the field to connect with couples, their families and loved ones to create films that endure long after their wedding day is over.
During his own time, Saul enjoys spending time with his family. Whether it be biking, on hiking trails or hanging out at home. He’s a long distance cyclist and has participated in rides over 200 miles long that test the will and the body. One of the main lessons he draws from these challenges is the importance of not looking too far ahead, and remaining present in the moment.
Family is the most important part of his life and that reverberates through the moments he strives to capture during your wedding. His gentle and kind approach lets you enjoy the day it as it was meant to be.
